"I was born in Kolkata, India and grew up with 13 brothers and sisters. My father was a

self-employed merchant, owing an export and import business. He left his children nothing to be desired.

Since my boyhood, I was fond of arts and classical music all over the world. As my young life, I wrote many dramas and stories. The most of dramas were performed by students of schools and colleges and  local clubs. As boy I took a part in several Indian films and also I was a regular

actor in professional stage in Calcutta. Often I represented in films the roles of the hero in his childhood.
After my matriculation examination, I went to London for studying engineering and in the same time, my elder brother Sunil Das went to Paris, France for studying Fresco and fine art in Art Academy Paris, who is now a very popular and famous artist in India and Overseas. Since 1970 I've been working as self-employed consulting engineer and architect in Basle, Switzerland.
 

I have attended several national and international courses in art paintings and occupied myself intensively with art painting and sculpture. My main concern thereby is to express my feelings through my paintings.

In my spare time I write novels and poems and organise my art exhibition. I am a fascinate golf and chess player and attend some times language courses in French and Spanish.
I am as well interested in classical music and take regularly lessons in Piano."
